New report: Electronic age labels ecosystem standard

The MIRACLE project is a technical pilot project aiming at making age classifications technically interoperable, regardless of their originating classification schemes. During the first 18 months of the project, the MIRACLE partners gained a lot of insight in the current practices of age classifications, electronic age labels and approaches to online labelling. As these are important context factors for the project and its task, we have authored a full-fledged report on MIRACLE's ecosystem. "Electronic age labels ecosystem": Report on practices of data transfers and web labelling in the field of age classification data (pdf) Disclaimer: Please be advised that this is a draft until the acceptance of the EC. Moreover, the content of this report does not reflect the official opinion of the European Union. ...

League of Labels – MIRACLE hackathon open for registration standard

One aspect of the MIRACLE project is to show potential added value of interoperable classification data. Of course, we have some ideas what could be done with it, but as all consortium members stem from the background of age classification and online child safety we might be blind for additional innovative apps and services based on age classification data made available and processable by MIRACLE. From today on registration is open for MIRACLE's 48-hour hackathon in Brussel with a prizepool of EUR 5,000: League of Labels, taking place on 19th and 20th October 2015 in Brussel's Prague House. Designers, coders, idea generators, engineers - they all are invited to make life easier for content providers by making MIRACLE's common data ...

First glance at MIRACLE alpha demos standard

On 21st Jan 2015 the first presentation of MIRACLE-compatible APIs and services took place during an internal project meeting of all MIRACLE partners. While there is still a long way to go to finally have interoperable schemes, labels and interfaces, the project team already felt the significance of this first step: This has been the first day in history to actually get technically interoperable age classification data stemming from four different classification schemes and contexts. During the upcoming weeks, the alpha demos will become beta (and better) ones. Stay in touch with the MIRACLE project as we plan to provide public access to all APIs and frontend to have everyone play around with the services and the data ...
