MIRACLE pilot is officially over – but we are starting standard

At 31st July 2016, the MIRACLE pilot project co-funded by the European Union, has officially come to an end. We, the MIRACLE consortium partners, had very busy, highly interesting and fruitful 30 months, where we particularly achieved to show that machine-readable and interoperable age ratings are not a figment of the future, but can be implemented in a very feasible and economic manner. Plus, they show a great amount of added value for all stakeholders along the value chain of the current value web. Starting from this insight, it’s no big surprise that we as a project consortium agreed on continuing our work on the MIRACLE specification and its advantages in practice. For this to happen, we have formed MIRACLE’s Sustainability ...

Stay tuned for website labelling plugins – for all big CMS platforms standard

A major disadvantage of labelling your website with age.xml / miracle.xml is the fact that there are no plugins that enables webmasters to easily self-classify their pages and attach an electronic label to their site. The MIRACLE project has identified this as a very practical hurdle in spreading the MIRACLE idea and therefore has developed plugins for all major content management systems: WordPress Joomla TYPO3 Drupal Magento Shopware With each of these plugins, users of the respective CMS framework can now easily self-label their website according to MIRACLE / age.xml. We are currently testing the plugins against our technical specifications and will publish them once we’re sure they work without any glitches. Stay tuned!

New report: Electronic age labels ecosystem standard

The MIRACLE project is a technical pilot project aiming at making age classifications technically interoperable, regardless of their originating classification schemes. During the first 18 months of the project, the MIRACLE partners gained a lot of insight in the current practices of age classifications, electronic age labels and approaches to online labelling. As these are important context factors for the project and its task, we have authored a full-fledged report on MIRACLE’s ecosystem. “Electronic age labels ecosystem”: Report on practices of data transfers and web labelling in the field of age classification data (pdf) Disclaimer: Please be advised that this is a draft until the acceptance of the EC. Moreover, the content of this report does not reflect the official opinion of the European ...
